Descripción

We're Chris and Anna Maria, a nature-loving couple who have both studied sociocultural anthropology, permaculture, and herbal medicine. Our passion for regenerative living has led us to explore various facets of permaculture, from gardening and seed-saving to herbal medicine making and natural building. Chris offers experience in construction, web design, and heavy machinery operation, and education in Ecological Restoration, while Anna Maria brings in her experience with teaching, workshop planning, community organizing, livestock care (mostly chickens & rotationally grazed cattle), and natural cheesemaking.

Having collectively worked on projects ranging from a farm season in Victoria, BC, Canada, to environmental conservation in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile, we've cultivated a diverse skill set over the past decade. Anna Maria has WWOOFed and volunteered in places like a black tea farm in Ecuador, a cacao farm, a permaculture homestead in Colombia, and an Inn in Revelstoke, Canada. Her year-long stint on a farm on Cortes Island, Canada, further deepened her agricultural experience and desire to live with the cycles of the Earth.

We are very easy-going, adaptable, dedicated workers who can pick up anything quickly and be self-sufficient & self-directed. Our curiosity drives us to understand the broader systems at play in any environment. Keen to share our knowledge, Anna Maria is willing to work with you to teach/co-teach workshops on Introduction to Permaculture, Soil Regeneration, Plant Propagation, and/or The Work That Reconnects. We look forward to contributing our skills to your project and learning more about the unique systems you're working with. We're excited for the enriching experiences of work trades for accommodation while on our trip through Europe.

We would be happy to learn some Polish and Danish while in those countries, but we will be in Greece for the longest amount of time during our trip, so we really hope to deepen our knowledge of Greek while we're there for the fall of 2024.
