Descripción

I'm Selma, a 25-year-old curious woman. I grew up in the east of France, in a city but also in contact with nature, hiking, skiing, camping, swimming in lakes, picking up berries or mushrooms with my family and friends :)

I'm a very lively person, I cultivate many interests that I like to share with the people I meet: drawing, painting, yoga, meditation, reading, hiking, cooking, photography/filmmaking...

I have already several experiences as a volunteer. At 16, I worked on an alpine farm in Switzerland and I loved the experience. Later, I had my first experience of volunteering in the east of France, helping in many tasks in a manor house. In 2023 I had my first workaway experience in Estonia and it was so perfect that from the time it was over I just thought of doing it again.

I hold a master's degree in political ecology and have worked for a year as a project and advocacy officer in an association working on energy transition.
As much as I loved my job I needed to take a break from city life. I am currently on a sabbatical year mainly in Estonia and border countries to learn the language, do more art and volunteer !

Que habilidades tienes?

I'm an adaptable person and I learn rather fast new skills.

- I worked during my teenage in summer camps for children (from 3 to 17 years old). I have a French degree in taking care of children and entertainment. I also did a lot of babysitting.

- with my past experiences of working and volunteering I learned various skills : taking care of animals like calves, making home made/plant-based products, garden maintenance, picking, cooking...

- I wrote my master thesis on ecovillages and their alternative governances because I'm very interested in eco-community and the way they work. As I met a lot of people for this thesis, I'm accumulating knowledge about living in community in a mindful, ecological and non-violent way.

- I can also draw and paint, teach yoga and cook delicious vegetarian dishes !

I'm in love with swimming and all kind of water : sea, oceans, lakes, swimming pool. I practiced winter swimming in Estonia :)
