Hi there,

My name is Monika. I'm a nature enthusiast through and through! I'm fortunate to have a job that grants me a great deal of flexibility, particularly from autumn through spring.

I have a deep love for nature, a passion for hiking, and a special fondness for horse riding. Ideally, I'm looking for a place where I can either work with horses or be surrounded by hiking trails, so I can spend my free time exploring and trekking. Working with horses is of particular interest to me, as I'm curious about the variations in horsemanship practices across the world. I'm eager to learn more about this and find great pleasure in such work.

I have some experience with farm work, as my family operates a blueberry plantation that keeps me busy during the summer months. Additionally, I tend to a vegetable garden and thoroughly enjoy various outdoor tasks. I'm a quick learner and adapt easily to new challenges.

When it comes to working with horses, I can perform basic grooming and prepare them for rides. I've gained valuable experience through a previous Workaway opportunity, where my responsibilities included morning and evening horse feedings, managing their stables, lunging exercises, saddling and unsaddling, leading simple trips for tourists in the area, and handling routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning up after them. I'm not daunted by hard work or early mornings. In fact, preparing horses and embarking on sunrise rides were among my favorite tasks during that experience. The joy of feeding them is also something I relish, as the contented sounds horses make when they enjoy their meals are truly heartwarming.
