My experience at Ashleigh's was short, I was only there for a week. To begin with I want to congratulate her and her children because what they are doing is courageous and honorable, it is a huge job. I could see that it was complicated not to have had volunteers for some time. He has a lot of work here, things to do, to improve, knowing that Ashleigh is working on his own. She, her family and her animals really need volunteers. For my part, volunteering did not suit me on several points and I prefer to share them so that you are aware of what you are getting into and not like me that you are disappointed with your experience and that you leave it sooner. Despite my love for animals, having them in the room with the scents was complicated for me, know that animals live in all the rooms of the house and occupy all the space. I saw that they had a real chance, they are living their best life 😊 but I am not used to living like that. This disturbed my comfort of life too much. In addition, the language barrier was complicated, because even if on the announcement of the workaway it was noted that it was a cultural exchange, I did not find this in my volunteering. A word of advice comes with a good level of communication in English or Spanish. For my part, I did not feel well in this volunteering but it can be suitable for many other people, the dogs and cats are really all adorable, endearing, it was a real pleasure to spend time with them. Ashleigh's children, Chloe and Storm are really awesome. They like to share their love for their animals, and also share moments with volunteers, whether in work, discussions, cooking and games. The place is great, it's really beautiful and quiet., and the view is amazinzing!
