Descripción

Hello, we’re Luke, Amelia and Elief. We’re currently sailing around the Caribbean on our 36ft Ketch, we brought it after selling a few campervans we converted in England. We’re looking for communities / families with other children so our son can socialise along the way.

We have most of the necessary equipment with us to do building work and DIY, plus a whole load of tree climbing equipment which could prove useful to project’s we may visit.

We’re obviously more than happy and prepared to juggle between workaway roles and parenting!

Ideally we’d like to visit several communities/land based projects over the coming months lending our skills where possible and hopefully learning a few more along the way!

Neither of us are afraid of hard work, we’re both happy to get stuck in to a project and see it through, both like to mingle and enjoy meeting new folks from different backgrounds an walks of life.

We spent a year in Ireland growing food, building, looking after animals, hosting a workaway profile and taking the journey into parenthood.

I (Amelia) am a mother and artist - I do stick and poke tattoos whilst travelling around. I thrive when being creative, whether that’s with paint, drawing, writing etc. I’m pretty handy with tech, I used to run social media accounts for environmental organisations in the UK.

Luke is a tree surgeon, carpenter and timber framer, he is happy to teach others about these, and also love’s to learn new skills/techniques.

Our background over the last few years has been a range of working on boats, travelling with horses and living off grid (building cabins & treehouses).

Que habilidades tienes?

Amelia has experienced a variety of skills over the past few years: climbing, forestry, communal cooking, though knows the basics of building is keen to learn more! Amelia can cook and clean, and is very good at keeping a space tidy! Amelia has previously managed social media accounts for environmental campaigns in England, so is happy to help out with any online tasks you may need doing (for example if you run a hostel or small business). Amelia can tattoo by hand poking which she loves to do... it also gives time to share an experience with someone & get to know them a little more. She also enjoys painting and being creative with words and phrases.

Luke is a tree surgeon/carpenter with a variation of skills needed for the outdoor life. He is a great cook, and keeps a space very tidy, he has worked with horses for several years now, more recently he’s been travelling with his horse around England to environmental protest sites and camps. Luke’s learning the ropes of sailing too now we are on a sail boat, and is catching fish wherever we go!
