we are an African non-profit organization working with the communities surrounding the Volcanoes national park in the northern province of Musanze. Through our works we have launched many projects, which are helping local community get access to education, health care and sustainable income that honors their traditional way of life. As an intercultural center we offer budget accommodation, ranging from tents to hostel room all with shared bathroom facilities. We also offer cultural tours like, making the local banana beer, organic farming, local homestays, traditional cooking techniques, capacity building and youth talent search and development.
We engage our community members in sustainable tourism and community driven environmental conservation initiatives that are meant to benefit them as local communities through skills and programs while still contributing to the achievement of the global SDG’s
Our community work is dedicated to integrating tourism and conservation for sustainable community development. Most importantly we lobby for and market the adaptation of community-based tourism as part of the region’s development agenda.

Our volunteer position will enable you understand local development programs and the work we do with community members letting you identify potential ways of engaging in these projects and the initiative in practical ways to really learn and understand the issues faced and how we can make an impact among the communities.

we are looking for volunteers with an open mind, individuals with skill to share with us and our community people, we work with unemployed rural members of society comprising of single mothers and the youths by empowering young people with conservation and sustainable tourism inspired life skills in a non-formal training mode.
The locals are trained in art and crafts, housekeeping chores & hospitality, tour guiding, restaurant or bar operations, customer care and offered internships basic for students
We are currently looking for short term workawayers to work with our hospitality skills training program which will require onsite training for our interns and youths at the centre
Our Hospitality Trainer volunteer positions will expose you to community engagement as the program exposes you to community people throughout your volunteer period
Some of your task will include the following during your stay with us
Reviewing of existing training manuals for the program and assisting our team develop new ways of operations in our hospitality training program that meet standards of the tourism sector and industry
Assistance in the implementation of new technical specifics for our training modules
Coaching of interns and youths while on-the-job in different skills and techniques
Capacity building for our trainers of trainees in our hospitality program at
Providing support of project activities, outputs, and outcomes in the hospitality training of rural youths
Providing skills advice on quality standards to the participants in the hospitality training program

we offer you our volunteer a simple bed in the private rooms or you can opt to stay in our big safari tents during your volunteer period with us, our bathrooms are shared and include hot showers, soap and daily clean towels
our kitchen is fully equipped and will can be accessed by our volunteer at any time plus Meals are offered for our volunteer which include breakfast+lunch and dinner
there is a lot to do and see while in musanze, from hiking mountains to village trails and amazing twin lake experience
