My wife and I moved to Sweden from London almost 4 years ago, where we bought an old village shop (very big).
We came here to be in nature. We are a native English speaking family.
We have lots of plans for the house and garden. This Winter we are working on the house. Painting and building.
We have 2 dogs (Poppy, and Daisy) Both are German Shepherds and very friendly. We also have 2 cats (Ronnie and Reggie)
We both have a great sense of humour, a passion for music and are very open minded. Not so open minded the wind whistles between our ears though. ;-)
We know there is much work to be done, but there is no rush. We want to emphasize that it is more about making friends, learning new things, trying and eating new foods, and getting some work done in the process.
Terrence McKenna once said “Nature is not our enemy, to be raped and conquered. Nature is ourselves, to be cherished and explored.”

Jämtland is a great place to visit. We are on the edge of Europe's largest wilderness. Our nearest town is 42km (Östersund). We are quite remote. We have almost 24hrs of daylight during May and June. It's a very quiet peaceful place to be. Maybe you will meet Moodini (the escaping cow) that wanders the village
We have lots of outdoor equipment that can be borrowed.
We are about an hour's drive from Åre (Sweden's top ski resort) we also have a local slope about 15 minutes drive away.

This year we will be working on a lot of different things. growing and selling plants. Painting, moving logs, and cutting wood for next winter, building fences, building a large greenhouse and maybe renovation of an out building if we have time. We will also require help around the house, keeping it clean, cooking and walking the dogs.

The village where we live is quite remote. There are a few buses a day in to town. We have two cars that would be available to use. The house we bought is an old shop. Upstairs is an apartment, and downstairs is the old shop which at the moment we are using as a workshop.
We have a spare room with a double bed.

If you love nature, and peace and quiet you will love it here. We are close to the mountains, with many lakes and rivers nearby it is also a great place if you like fishing. We also have 2 18ft Canadian canoes, camping and outdoor equipment that can be borrowed. (summer only) We are unable to accept vegetarians, or Vegans. We have tried in the past and it just hasn't worked out.
