My name is David and my wife, Carolyn, and I live in the small town of St. Francisville, Louisiana with our dog Biscuit. We have a few wooded acres with three houses on our property, two of which host our children and grandchildren when they come to visit. The woods are great place to reflect and we have some hills and creeks behind the house if you're up for a hike. Half of the week we spend at our condo in Baton Rouge, so you'll get some time to yourself. We're looking for some help around the house and yard and for good company to keep!

St. Francisville in Louisiana is one of the prettiest and most charming small towns along the Gulf Coast. It is a quaint town on the Mississippi and very popular with both tourists and people in retirement. The town was listed in the book: "The 200 Most Beautiful Small Towns in America".
The historic town which has been restored has a very active Main Street Program. Beautiful ante-bellum homes are flanked by live oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss.
Majestic plantations are a major tourist attraction. Many events are scheduled to keep things lively.
Nearby outdoor activities, include hiking at Mary Ann Brown preserve, Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge - home of the second largest tree in North America and largest bald-cypress tree or Clark Creek WMA as locals refer to it as Tunica Falls - numerous small water falls. Others enjoy the many birding areas which are on the flyway from Central & South American.
Golf at the nearby Arnold Palmer designed golf course at The Bluffs is a favorite for golf players.
Biking is a highlight on our small hilly country roads where several bike races are held annually.
Boating canoes and kayaks are spectacular when Cat Island NWR floods annually from the rise of the Miss. River.
Photography is a mainstay of the numerous Plantation homes, abundant wildlife, flowers in our spectacular historic gardens and cemeteries and landscapes of rolling pasture land and unique flora of the Tunica Hills.
