Animal and farm lovers come and join us on our hobby farm in a beautiful location in Victoria.
We have a lovely farm in Victoria, Australia, in a beautiful location in Murchison, in the heart of the Goulburn Valley wine region approximately 2 hours from Melbourne. On the farm we have horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats and you will have an opportunity to interact with all these animals. The farm is an organic farm and we grow many of our own fruits and vegetables.
We are 2 retired friends (David and Ann) who have for many years been farming, riding, competing and breeding and we welcome volunteers who love animals including horses. Primarily we want to share our passion for, and love of the land and we would like you to help us around the house and the gardens and also want you to have a real “Aussie” farm experience in the midst of some beautiful countryside.
On the farm you will be housed in your own fully self contained accommodation with food and a kitchen provided and the potential use of a car for local travel and sightseeing.

We hope that during your stay with us that you will enjoy the opportunities that we provide and have an authentic Aussie farm experience.
As hosts we are keen to learn more about your culture and background and to build relationships with you that will be sustained over time. Whilst you spend time with us you will also meet other farm focussed volunteers from around the world as well as other farm focussed locals which can lead to long term friendships.

We invite you to join us and be part of a team in a relaxed friendly environment helping alongside us and with other volunteers from across the world. This will provide you with lots of opportunities to improve your practical skills and socialize with like minded individuals.
David is a very experienced farmer and equestrian and in the past has been a showjumper, dressage competitor, breeder and classifier and has been operating the farm for over 35 years. Ann is also an experienced farmer. breeder, rider and competitor.
We are looking for volunteers with some previous farm experience who are motivated and willing to learn and who are open to assist us with some aspects of our activities. This will involve helping around the house, vegetable gardens and some help including gardening and mowing.

You will be responsible for keeping these living spaces clean and tidy both inside and outside. We also have a NO smoking policy on the farm.

The farm is located in a picturesque area and there are opportunities to explore the local areas and attractions. The Goulburn Valley with its abundant orchards, boutique wineries and glorious foodie offerings is one of Victoria’s best-kept secrets and the farm is 2 hours north of Melbourne.
We are happy to assist with transportation when you arrive and generally we get you to catch a bus/ train from the airport or city to our local train station and we pick you up there.
