Help with activist retreat center with model urban garden in the Pacific Northwest, USA

  We have an activist group house and work on a wide range of social justice, environmental and peace issues. We are interested in model urban agriculture including fruit and nut trees, we have projects building machinery for "Papercrete" block pressing, Biochar production while cooking and heating, And, We are re-configuring our roof.

  Olympia is a lively town with music, activism and incredible mountains, old-growth forests and waterways. Our local college is legendary for cutting edge social and environmental activism.

• 

  Ayuda

  Our priorities for June, through September will be construction help. Skilled help is preferred, but extra hands who want to learn are good. Shorter term stays are possible for people with tree pruning skills, or energy for processing or chipping etc .

  Alojamiento

  We have a small cabin, a bus with 3 bunks, tents and tent space. Mostly the cabin is prioritized for carpentry / construction help and is occupied through the end of June.

  We are on the bus line, and walking distance from downtown. We have a community controlled theater, an art studio which supports Olympia's "Procession Of The Species" parade and a walkable waterfront boardwalk.
