I am building an eco-lodge on my property in Far North Queensland, which has some of the most spectacular natural landscapes to be found anywhere in Australia, as well as an abundance of native birds and wildlife.

The property is situated on the Walsh River which has many great places to swim and explore, as well a wide variety of birds and animals. This help involves many different aspects of building and carpentry, as well as basic plumbing, plastering and roof/gutter fixing, and the focus on sustainable building methods requires some creative/artistic talents.
The project involves using recycled and locally sourced building materials and an ability to learn on the job. There are also some gdening/landscaping projects to be completed and someone with a creative mindset would enjoy helping on this task.

There is plenty of camping available as well as shared accomodation in the house/guest quarters. Food is provided but the cooking and cleaning duties are shared.
Having your own transport is a benefit but not essential. There are lots of places to swim and explore within walking distance and the bus comes up from Cairns everyday to the nearby towns of Atherton, Herberton and Ravenshoe.
