I am still involved in the worklife. My grown up children live apart from me, but are coming occasionally to visit me and their grandma. I am a teacher for community dance, which you if interested could learn during the classes I offer in our neighbourhood.

I love to go to the cinema, theatre, dance theatre, I am interested in architecture, history, literature, psychology and sociology as my profession as a social worker and anthropologist keeps me curios the all matters of social life.

The volunteer person will learn the German language. You will get to know the biggest walled city in Europe, you will discover the most beautifull places of Bavaria and you will learn much about elderly care.

We need a helping hand in a two person household. A lovely elderly woman needs some company during daytime while I am at work. In exchange to the assistance given the volunteer person can join a language school. We live in the lovely, historical city of Nuernberg/Bavaria, which offers a good selection of cultural and international opportunities. Preferably the volunteer person should stay three to six months.

You will live in a beautiful house with a large garden, which offers you during the warm season wonderful moments of relaxation. Of course you will have an own room and access to all other facilities in the house. Food will be provided and served according to the season.

The house you will live in is located in the city perfecty connected to the public transport system (buses, underground, airport). From Nuernberg you reach the Alps in less than three hours, Munich is as far as one hour with the train from Nuernberg. You can visit Berlin and all the wonderful castles along the Rhin. There are also much more little highlights in the near surrounding worth to be discovered by your curiosity.
