Hi we're two friends travelling together - Zoe and Iz.
Zoe - I am a keen climber and cyclist with a love of adventure. I also enjoy hiking, wild swimming and being in the mountains. I love to read, travel, meet new people and learn new things. I have mainly lived in Sheffield in the UK. I'm vegan and I have been involved with climate campaigning and activism, both for work and in my free time. I am interested in organic growing and I worked on a community allotment in Sheffield. I have previously done workaways in Spain and Italy on farms, in a dog kennel, in a climbing hostel and doing DIY around the house. I would like to do more workaways because I think it's a great way to meet people and to get to know a place better through spending a longer period of time there and meeting locals. My native language is English and I am learning French, Arabic and Spanish.
Iz - I am very excited to help on some work away projects whilst in Morocco, and stay put and get to know a place after several months of cycle touring to get to Morocco. I am passionate about protecting our environment, and sustainable plant based food projects. I am keen to improve my language skills (Arabic / French / Spanish / Berber), and happy to help others with their English. In my free time I love cycling, running, hiking, surfing, swimming, climbing, and I'm up for trying anything new as well.Interests

Zoe - Reading/writing/digital communication skills:
I did an degree in English Literature and a master's degree in Politics at the University of Sheffield. I worked for a not-for-profit organisation helping local councils to improve their climate policies - I produced our newsletters and posted on the social media pages (Twitter and Linkedin). I am also a trustee of the Sheffield Community Bike Project - and I managed the Instagram and Facebook pages for the project, as well as helping to organise and run bike maintainance sessions. I have been part of various campaign groups and I have good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
I have lots of experience of working in hospitality jobs, including in cafes, a hotel and a pub.
I have knowledge about fruit, vegetables and organic produce through working at a vegetable and wholefoods cooperative. I have experience of growing through working on a community allotment. I also have decorating experience as I helped to paint the new shop which we moved into as part of Beanies cooperative, and I am used to doing manual work and carrying heavy loads, as this was what much of my job involved.
I have worked as a climbing instructor and I have my indoor Climbing Wall Award, as well as having lots of personal experience doing sport and trad climbing and walking in the mountains.
I am a native English speaker and I have worked as an English language teacher at a children's summer camp in the Basque country, so I can teach English and take care of children. I can speak a bit of French and Spanish. I am quick and willing to learn new skills.
Iz - I have been involved over the last few years with organic food growing projects, I have created a wildlife pond.
I have a qualification as a bike mechanic (Cytech Level 2), my job back in the UK involves lots of teaching and guiding groups of people and I am confident in first aid.
I am friendly and welcoming and love meeting new people so I am happy to be involved with any tourism aspects of the work away too.Age
