Description
I am a retired University professor with a background in ecology, hydrology, sustainable development and global health. I have lived and worked in Costa Rica, Bolivia, Kenya, Peru, and Guatemala. I have also traveled to many other countries. I I am looking for long term experiences with compatible people working towards a common shared goal. I am a fit and active hiker, backpacker, skier and climber with no health issues. I am flexible and easy going with schedules and tasks. I took students to a small town (25 families) in Costa Rica for 10 weeks every year for 10 years to a sustainable eco center. I have worked with Engineers with Borders on cookstoves, irrigation, and roads in rural Boliva. I have worked with Architects without Borders in Peru developing water and garden projects in the slums of Lima and Iquitos. I learned about Workaway from a friend of mine in Germany who is a host for Workaway.
I dont' have a Facebook page. You can learn more about where I have worked in Costa Rica here (http://ranchomastatal.com/) and my work in Peru here (http://sqwater.be.washington.edu/wp/)Interests
