Hi ! This is a couple account, but I (Niels) am currently looking for a workaway host in Helmond, Netherlands this summer for the months of June and July. I am a 19 year old engineering student in Lille, France.
I am half french and half dutch, and will be doing an internship in Helmond this summer related to my studies but also with the goal to get more fluent in dutch. I'm looking for a place to stay in Helmond where I can help out as much as possible, I like to stay active.
I speak fluently french and I also have a good level in english and dutch. I am also learning german and german at school. I love travelling and challenging myself by doing so.


What follows is the old workaway presentation from the couple account from a few years ago.
We're a mum (me, Serena, 49) and my son (Niels, who will turn 17 in April). I'm Dutch, but I've lived in France since I was nine, so I speak French like the French. David, my husband, is French, and we also have a daughter, Heidi, who's 14. David and I are both English teachers in France. I teach 15 to 20-year-old pupils and students.

I have a passion :
-for animals (I grew up on a dairy farm and at home we have two German shepherds that we like to train).
-for cooking healthy meals. I'm used to cooking ''normal'' meals for my husband and children, and gluten (and mostly dairy)-free meals for me since I'm gluten intolerant. We mainly have organic vegetarian meals at home now.
-for tourism. As a student, I worked 5 full summers at the reception desk of a camping site with 295 tent pitches, castle apartments and wooden chalets, which I loved doing.
-for languages and linguistics, which is what I studied.
-for swimming and zumba dancing, which I do several times a week.
I'm positive, kind, responsible, tidy, honest, sociable and love meeting a variety of people.
As far as Niels is concerned, he's a friendly, responsible, hard-working, positive, kind and caring boy who loves reading and plays volleyball several times a week. He also likes cycling and swimming and is interested in photography. He's quite computer savvy, like most teenagers.
