  • Description

I’m a patient, adventurous 70-year-old who loves travel and is fully embracing her wanderlust! I’m in the enviable position of being able to go where I want, without any job to hold me in one place, and with my children on their own. I want to take advantage of this time and explore new and exciting places! I spent many years working in everything from mental health hotlines to investment companies, then many more years as a stay-at-home mom of three wonderful children, two german shepherds, and several cats. About four years ago I moved to Chicago, and love to play tourist in my own city (when the temperatures aren’t too cold!).
Outside of Chicago, I’ve visited many new countries the past few years. From tuk tuk rides and beachside afternoons in Sri Lanka, to long walks through Amsterdam and visits to the Ann Frank House and Rembrandt Museum, to a boat tour through Istanbul and delicious goulash dinners and peaceful boat rides in Budapest - each experience makes me more dedicated to a life of travel than the last.
I’m new to Workaway, and am looking for a short-term (2 weeks - 4 weeks) adventure in a new area, where I can help a person, family, or organization with various tasks and also learn a new language and culture at the same time. I’m energetic, easygoing, and comfortable in a wide variety of situations. I’d love to spend a couple of weeks with you!
