I am a former corporate America employee who decided that traveling the world, meeting new people, becoming immersed in culture, and learning the values that diversity brings is far more important than sitting behind a rectangular screen all day.

The thought of exploring this beautiful world with like-minded souls has become a lifeline to me, and has essentially lit up my life. Meeting new people is one of my favorite past-times, and I could listen to someone tell me about their life journey for hours. It is my favorite thing in the world to connect with someone new, and find the similarities and differences that bring us, and on a higher level - humanity, all together!

I am an extremely hard worker, a dreamer, a traveler, and someone who believes that you can learn more from the world than from a screen. I have experience with cats, dogs, horses, cattle etc... Growing up in the deserts of Arizona and then Central Texas has given me a lot of hands-on experience with all critters! In addition, I have extensive experience in child care, customer service, retail, hospitality, first-aid, house maintenance and physical labor.

As a native born English speaker but a daughter of a Swedish immigrant, I grew up immersed in both languages. In addition, as a Texas resident, I was taught Spanish throughout school. I am passionate about the art of language, and would love to teach and communicate the English language. I love to write, speak, and read, and nothing makes me happier than sharing the knowledge! I also am brushing up on my Spanish, and am interested in becoming a Spanish speaker.

As a student of life, I have dipped my toe into several areas of life and career. From five years of nannying, to lifeguarding, to waitressing, to being a merchandise intern at The Walt Disney World Company, to working retail as an intern for Target, to hiring people as an intern at Southwest Airlines, I treated the job world as something to explore!

On top of experience with kids, retail, waitressing, and customer service, I just absolutely love to be around other people. I can quite literally talk to a wall at this point! I also have professional experience in corporate America when I graduated from University:

In my early career, I was head of social media for a tech startup. I have professional experience in taking pictures, posting, creating captions, email marketing, and social media marketing. In addition, as a salesperson for a Fortune 500 tech company, I have lots of experience in communicating with others, and understanding the customer experience.

I am a huge reader, TedTalk fan, writer and a fun fact expert. I can pull out fun facts about almost anything! I love animals, and volunteer at the local pet shelter in Austin. I was a swimmer my whole life, and I spend my weekends hiking, running, swimming in creeks, and doing yoga. I meditate several times a day, and am obsessed with self-help books (my friends roll their eyes each time I bring out a new book recommendation!)

I am currently working on a book series and am having so much fun with it! I am a person easily inspired by my surroundings, and want to meet people that influence possible characters for my story. A beautiful destination doesn't hurt either!

I think the world is a positive place, full of light and love, and people who just want to do good. I believe we are all here for a reason, but it's up to us to find that very reason within ourselves!
