Description
I love the ocean! Most of my life revolves around diving, surfing, and connecting with the earth and sea around good people. I am currently in Australia, and I hope to gain more memorable experiences with workaway!
About me: My journey started at 18 in the jungles of Central America, inadvertently starting a trip that never really ended. Six years later I've gained a lot of unique long-term experiences in different countries. Along the way I've had a handful of incredible work exchange experiences, some through workaway and others by chance.
Early on the pandemic caught me in South America, leading me to Europe (I was young and in love lol). I studied a degree in International Relations in Ireland, while also working in a hectic busy-bar in the heart of Dublin. I pounded out those months in the city to fund my dream trips. I built knowledge in various ocean activities during my months off, travelling around SE Asia and Southern Europe working in the Scuba and boat charter industries.
I still take extended time off between working to seek out authentic and conscious travel experiences. When i was younger I used to use workaway as a way to cut costs, but now it has become more a tool for finding unique opportunities and immersing oneself in something completely new. Most recently I spent a few weeks restoring a sailboat on the east coast of Oz with an old man I'll never forget. I spent another few weeks roughing it in the bush with a German I met in Indonesia, a retired hippie, and mumu, a very friendly dingo. Money just cant buy that shitInterests

Im up for a challenge, pretty handy with general building and vehicle repairs. I've had a technical mind ever since my dad forced young me to hold the flashlight. At 17 I taught myself to wire the electronics and rebuild my car engine going off youtube and profanity. I’m competent with landscaping, carpentry, masonry, etc (anything hands on) and can share craftsman experience for building projects. I've also worked a handful of odd jobs, a tree climber (arborist), skipper, divemaster, tour guide, construction, and snowboard instructor. I have a degree in Political Science, but my specific talents lie with the sea, I am a freediver, divemaster, spearfisherman, skipper, and enjoy underwater videography. Good under pressure (haha).

What else ...
For me, traveling has developed into a lifestyle that enabled me to discover what I am passionate about. I want to create a life that I can spend traveling the world, exploring new seas, and learning from others.
