I have been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit in my life, and nothing brings me more joy than exploring new places and cultures and spending time in nature! I am so excited for future adventures and opportunities and can't wait to experience more Workaways. I am currently attending university in Rome, IT but originally am from the United States. I am outgoing and a big people-person, but happily enjoy silence and relaxing when it's time for that. English is my mother tongue and I was raised in a fully English-speaking household. I scored very well in my college preparation tests for both English and reading and would love to share my language with other people! I learned Spanish for 4 years and spent a summer immersing myself in the language near Barcelona over the summer of 2022. I currently attend an American University in Rome, Italy, and have just begun Italian lessons.

I worked in customer service for the 4 years, and love the opportunity to connect with new people and gain knowledge and experience. Before that, I enjoyed babysitting and taking care of children. I worked for 5 different families and loved getting to know the big personalities of the kids I worked with!!
I have also practiced and taught martial arts for over a decade, gaining valuable experience teaching (and learning) from students of all ages and abilities. One of my favorite life lessons that I have learned is that there is always a question to be asked, regardless of your familiarity with the subject.
I am very passionate about theater and have performed in 17 productions. I love the energetic atmosphere and opportunity to express myself!
I am also comfortable working with technology and have helped many community members troubleshoot their different technological issues. I love fixing problems and love to look at it as a fun challenge as opposed to a chore.
I can drive an automatic or stick shift, have my US driver's license, and would be happy to help out in any way regarding driving- I am a comfortable and safe driver.
I am hoping to learn more about cooking the local cuisine, but am able to cook basic foods and will happily share any recipes I know!
I also play some piano, guitar, and formerly took violin lessons. I enjoy all types of music and love to experience new artists and genres!

What else ...

I love being outdoors and will take any opportunity to hike and spend time under the sun. Backpacking and camping are my favorite outdoor activities, along with rock climbing and waterskiing! I am also Scuba dive certified and am hoping to explore underwater wherever I go as well!! I am passionate about music and playing piano and guitar, but would love to learn about any instruments.
