  • Description

Hello to the grat Workaway community!
Ciao a tutti gli amici workaway!
Bonjour à toute la communauté workaway!
Un saludo para todos los workawayers!

We’re Juan Francisco and Martin, a young couple that have been together for 6 years now; at the moment we’re living in Italy as new Italian citizens! :)
A while ago, we made the decision to leave our comfort zone, our costumes, our workplaces and our people in order to be able to fulfill one of our dreams: to build up our lives and our home in Europe. But, before that, we want to enrich us by traveling, enjoying the youth, exchanging experiences, knowing different languages and different cultures. The goal we’ve set is to live this adventure to the fullest by meeting interesting people, places and learning from them as well.
We love sharing argentinian heritage to the world as well as receiving worldwide traditions.
Respect for diversity, politeness, honesty and tolerance above all things.

Martin: After I finished high school, I studied Psychology for two years alongside I was dancing as a hobbie. When I was 19 I started ballet classes in order to improve myself but at last, it stole my heart so I decided to leave the carreer and to take a chance on this beautiful form of art . I dedicated all my time to it and, by the age of 21 I started a professional dancer carreer working in the official company of my hometown.
3 years later, life lead me to a Barcelona ballet company named 'Ballet de Catalunya' buuut, surprise surprise, it's 2020 and Covid shows up to put everything upside down! A new journey started when I decided to quit dancing and try to find another way to taste happiness. It has been crazy so far, life is a tough teacher and, for sure, I'm learning a lot; still looking for this new path and trying to figure it out one day at the time...
I enjoy training my body, practicing yoga and meditation, being surrounded by nature, having a good conection with animals, chating with the people around me, boardgames, films, music and good vibes!

Juan Francisco: Since I studied Law and Spanish, I'm very intelectual and passionate about reading the great classics, novels and Philosophy. This is why I took philosophy courses and I like to discuss and exchange ideas, interests and else points of view.
In the other hand I learned that inner peace is very important too, that´s why I practice Yoga and meditation.

  • More details about your skills

Juan Francisco: I received my Lawyer diploma in Argentina in 2015; after that, I studied Contemporary Dance for two years at the Art University in Tucumán (Argentina).
I studied English (Level B1 and preparation for the TOEFL).
Also, I studied for a year at the Alliance Française and took a DELF A2.
In Argentina I worked as a lawyer in the Palace of Justice for a couple of years, and then as a receptionist in a rehabilitation center.
As you will see, I'm very versatile in terms of my interests and experiences.
Once I started traveling, I worked as a waiter, runner, barista and as a cashier in the United States, France and in Argentina.
I also enjoy cleaning a house and tidying it up.
Finally I believe that I'm very responsable when I propose to fulfill my objectives and goals.
Of course I am willing to teach Spanish (my native language), English; and to help with homework and gardening tasks: such as cleaning, gardening, ironing, maintenance, cooking, etc.

Martin: I'm very skilful with my body because of my ballet training.
As I studied English translation for a year, I reached a level B2. In addition, I speak a little Italian, not as much as I would like though.
I took a 6 months course of professional bakery and worked as Pastry chef assisstant in a restaurant but, to be honest, there is not something I could enjoy as a long-term activity. Took a professional bartending course too and worked as lead bartender for a couple months (I like this better haha). But, if I have to choose a job related to beverages, I definetly would peak working as a barista in a cafe! I loooove coffee! I worked in two different places, learned a little of latte art and managed the register above other tasks. I prefer the vibes of a nice and cozy coffee place instead of a crazy restaurant.
    I'm a versed car driver.
These things are important, yes, they are part of my skills. Nevertheless, I think that my more important ones are: my capacity of learning new things in a practical and efficient way, my capacity of adaptation to distinct situations and, above all, my desire to be effective on every challenge I decide to take.
