Hello,
My name is Jocelyn, I am a 28 year old whom loves to work outside with animals and agriculture. Professionally, I am a cook and have a passion for organic, local, seasonal food. I have experience in food preservation of all kinds. I think it very important to stay connected to our food sources! I have spent the last few years in Austin, TX working as a cook at a beautiful restaurant on an urban farm. Seeing the cycles of nature and working with food so closely to where it begins has been such a positive experience in my life.
Throughout the years, I have worked for others on their properties doing various tasks like chicken & pig care, garden tending, propery clean ups, furniture restoration, wood splitting, landscaping, canning, brush clearing, painting...the list goes on!
I have a vehicle, I am flexible and easygoing, and am open to more independent work situations as well as community oriented. I have decided to take the next 6 months or so to work on farms with others. The restaurant world has shifted in a big way and pursuing this path feels like the right thing to do.
