  • Description

    Hi everyone, I'm Itay!

I live in Israel and just finished my MSc studies in physics ⚛️. A few years ago, after my military service as a dog trainer 🐶 and before my studies, I had the chance to workaway in farms around Norway and Sweden. I had amazing experiences with my hosts and co-workawayers and got really inspired by learning so many new things. Soon after, I promised myself to do it again as soon as possible.

I'm a hard working person and I like being creative. I like doing things with my hands as making or fixing stuff. During semester breaks I did many project mainly around my parents' house - masonry, landscaping, gardening, carpentry, welding, etc... while learning the required skills by myself and gaining experience. I especially like to reuse materials in my projects, it's a perfect combination of sustainability, creativity and handcraft!

I'm looking forward to meeting you hosts, helping with your projects, getting to know your daily life and learn about your culture. I would love to share my knowledge and skills and learn some from you. I'm easygoing and can adjust myself to most situations. Also I don't require much as a volunteer, as long as I have some food and a rooftop, I'll be fine :)

Thanks for taking a look at my profile, hoping to see you soon!

  • What else ...

    A bit more on myself:
    - I'm taking this time off to wonder a bit what should be my next step in life and how to make it happen.
    - I'm an open minded person trying to see the other side's perspective as well.
    - I have lived in Munich, Germany for few months while doing a student exchange program. The new environment and the friends I made there from all over the world made it perhaps the best time of my life! Oh and snowboarding was great as well (we don't have much snow in Israel).
    - I enjoy sports and outdoor activities like tennis, volleyball, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, snorkeling...
