Hi, my name is Eva and I'm 19 years old from Scotland. I'm currently taking my second gap year, probably looking to go into a third one next year! I enjoy playing tennis and, since I live near the coast, have plenty of beautiful beaches to enjoy walks on. In school I played a lot of music. I took up ukulele and was also a part of the fiddle group. Although I have now left school, I still enjoy picking up an instrument at home every now and then.
I joined Workaway because I enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people so would love having the chance to immerse myself into a different way of life and be able to fully experience another culture.
After being in lockdown and having so many restrictions, I feel ready to jump on a plane and explore different parts of the world.
I have been lucky enough to spend a total of 3 months volunteering at an orphanage in Ghana and it’s made me even more excited to travel more and work abroad.

I enjoy cooking and baking, my specialities are chicken fajitas and chocolate cookies.

During lockdown I started helping out in the garden more and learned some skills like weeding, chopping trees down and growing my own veg.

I also have some retail experience which has lead me to improve on my teamwork and communications skills, and confidence.

Experience working with children as I have volunteered in Ghana at an orphanage with the company Plan My Gap Year.
