Description
I quit my job at the beginning of 2019 to travel South East Asia. Insert cliche: I am living the dream.
So far I have fallen in love with muay thai (trained in Thailand for 2+ months), assisted my friend in constructing a new hotel in Phong Nha and travelled around Australia for 18 months in a van.
I am back working again as a civil engineer and construction project manager and taking long trips between projects as I am a slow traveler, I like to live in each place for a few weeks/months with locals to really understand and immerse myself within the culture, language - and food!
I love meeting new people and socializing with others from different walks of life. The people you meet on the road are often the most fascinating and I hope that I can also offer value to others as well in my travels over a coffee, glass of wine or a beer!

I am a civil engineer by trade and love being on a construction site. I can tie steel, pour concrete and finish it like a pro - I am not afraid to get my hands dirty haha!
I have a background in basketball coaching and would love to apply this to assisting in English teaching.
I have a doggo back home so I am a dog lover and able to help with any animal related projects. My aunty and uncle are dairy farmers in NZ so I am used to the farm lifestyle.
Before undertaking my professional career I have had a long line of jobs from being a sandwich artist to bar tending to IELTS. I am always optimistic and eager to learn new skills! I am a quick learner and can adapt to any situation fast :)
