Hello, I'm Bernadette. I've recently reactivated my Workaway profile as I approach the completion of my Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. Having spent the last 4 years in northern Germany, I've grown to appreciate snowy winters.

I have previous Workaway experience that I truly enjoyed, and I'm eager to continue learning and contributing. I have a practical mindset and enjoy hands-on work. My background includes interning as a carpenter, working in various settings such as a grocery store, a Covid test facility, an outdoor shop, and a ski servicing shop. Each experience has broadened my skills and knowledge, and I'm always open to new opportunities.

I find fulfillment in mastering new skills and believe in dedicating time and effort to achieve that. As winter approaches, I'm looking forward to recharging by connecting with interesting people, learning and applying skills, and enjoying winter sports.

On a personal note, I'm politically left-leaning, and I believe in creating an inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. I appreciate diversity and open-mindedness. It's important to me to be surrounded by people who share these values, as I find it contributes to a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved.

I'm enthusiastic about the prospect of joining a new Workaway project and contributing my skills. I'm adaptable and open-minded, ready to embrace any task or challenge that comes my way.

I stayed on the farm for three weeks and helped with insulation and painting the inside and outside of the old train carriage. Carolann is an amazing conversation partner with information about everything, I learned a lot about our ecosystem and the permaculture way to approach our time on this planet.

Had a lovely workaway experience there. The guys in the kitchen and the café are amazing so time goes by really fast without even realising I spent a month there. I'm definitely coming back.

I stayed for four weeks and when I left I cried. Although at first I wasn't sure about the work with the ducks and geese I got used to it really quick and enjoyed the work with them. You get a daily routine of workhours but the work won't be the same so it stays interesting and time seems to fly by.
