Hi! ☀️ I'm Anna, 25 from Mayo, Ireland. I recently left my job as an art director to see the world and get to meet new people in a way that allows me to get deeper into the culture of wherever I go, and meet like-minded people and travellers! :)

I'm a very spontaneous person and I love connecting with people through music and art 💖 I'm a very social creature, but when I eventually spend time alone I love creating illustrations, reading, doing pilates or yoga and cooking with some good tunes. I'm also a big movie fan, and love discussing films with people over a drink. I love any kind of game, it's a great way of bringing people together. I'm fond of a night out with good music, particularly techno or traditional music but will groove to anything! 😌🪩
I'm big into folklore and stories and LOVE hearing people tell stories.
I grew up next to the sea and find great comfort in being by the water. In travelling I want to get closer to nature, connect with people and discover amazing experiences :)

Growing up on farmland I'm well experienced in the DIY department and with home-grown produce and animals. I've tended sheep, chickens, pigs and goats and have built a few chicken coops in my time so I know my way around garden tools!

As an artist, I'm skilled with a brush and a few crafty bits, but also know how to make art with stained glass. Something I'm new at, but really enjoy!

In my old job I would sometimes help with the set-up of music festivals, helping with the stages and the visuals. It's a lot of manual work but the fun that comes with meeting people who are working with you is great, and getting to see the live music on the job isn't too bad either!

I have a passion for cooking, especially seafood, and love cooking for a group of people, particularly on a sunny evening with a few glasses of wine. You can't beat good food and good company!

What else ...

I first joined workaway back in 2019, where I travelled the south of France. It was a life-changing experience and the people I got to meet along the way were incredible.
Now that covid is over and I have left my first job to go travelling, I'm so excited to get back into that lifestyle again 🌸
