I'm 37 from Ireland and now in my second year off a career break. I took a year initially which easily turned into two! The reason for the break was to explore more about myself and this world and its been wonderful and continues to be..still so much a mystery but what I've learned more and more is how beautiful and special this mystery is😊 so a little about me my work is physiotherapy and I've worked in hospitals in different areas but most recently in critical care. I grew up in Wexford the south east of Ireland so near the sea which I love. Nature is very important for me and live spending time in nature. Over the last few year I've become interested and well aware of how precious everything is so I've been learning more about sustainability. Which led me to the journey I took to nepal! I had a desire or intuition to come here to nepal I feel because of my growing interest in meditation and well life..so I decided to travel overland to start lessening my air travel😊 The journey was wonderful and so different. I'm currently in a meditation yoga centre and I've been here now for 5 weeks..hadn't initially planned this long but it's a wonderful place with great energy. So my other interests are well lots really I love music and love going to gigs and festivals and literature is also very important for me and have discovered over the last few years literary festivals which are wonderful, such a great way to share ideas. I love hiking and camping and have also done a bit if horse riding and horse treks in a few countries. I guess really I can say I love life and experiencing it as fully as possible and being open to learning more and more and sharing with others. So for the first year off I spent 3 months walking the camino de Santiago and then spent the rest of the year in different areas of europe doing some workaways well very slow traveling with no plan or agenda!! I arrived in Nepal mid Nov after leaving end of Sept crossing Europe, Russia, China, tibet and then Nepal! I will probably leave Nepal mid February and then India..exactly where I'm not sure I'm still I'm continuing to not plan ahead and follow my intuition. From india then I plan to slowly make my way back to Europe😊
