Hi, I'm Mel, an outgoing, spontaneous and wild young woman. I like to define myself a 'gypsy in a love affair with the world', because I seriously am so in love with this world, and the Earth has this special talent of making me fall in love, everyday more, over and over again.

I started traveling when I was 18, driven by the will to discover more of myself and of the world. That's also when I first started using workaway! I volunteered in all kind of places doing all kind of things and i can surely say that this website made my travel experiences even better than they would normally have been.

I am passionate about travelling because I love to connect. I love diversity. I love to evolve through what's unusual. I love to give and I love to take. People fascinate me, meeting, connecting, interacting with new souls is my favourite part of traveling.

I was born in Italy, but my mom is Canadian, which lead me to have an open mindset since a very young age, and also gave me the opportunity to speak both Italian and English, even though I was always really connected to Latin culture so I learned how to speak Spanish very early in life.

I love all kind of arts. My people are the creative, the dreamers, the passionate ones, everyone who is ambitious and is trying to follow what they're willing to live for. Even if somehow, I get along with everyone who is respectful and open minded :)
I have a very deep love for writing, meditation, dancing, and painting.
My first book 'Flourishing' was recently published, and that made my biggest dream of becoming an author come true!

I traveled all over Europe, the States, Southern East Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Australia, New Zealand and Central America. Now I am ready to explore South America and the Caribbean islands... I'm so excited!!

I am the kind of person who can stay up the whole night during a Full Moon having deep conversations, the kind of person who can sit on a rock by herself writing poetry, the social spirit who makes people dance, and the crazy painter who gives creative ideas out of the blue! I am a mix of energies and vibes, and I am so thrilled to share all of it with you!
