  • Description

Update 10/4/2021: second half of April: Pyrenees, France. Available from beginning of May

    Hi there!
Having finally finished school I could never imagine going straight to university this year (2020). That's why I've decided to take a gap year travelling. Being asked what motivates me the most I don't need much time to think of an answer. It is all the things out there waiting to be learned, all the work waiting to be done, all the acquaintance waiting to be made.
So, where to start? For sure I will be happy and greatful to learn from you no matter what you are willing to share. Whether it is your practical skills of those of cooking, your interest in music and arts, your experience in meditation or yoga; whatever it is, you are willing to share, I am always keen to widen my horizons. On the other hand, of course it will be a pleasure to share my handywork experience (yes, I do know how to use a screwdriver and a hammer +some experience in use of different saws etc.) and farming and animal care skills (I have worked/grown up with horses, cows, llamas, dogs, cats, alpacas, pigs, chickens, ducks). Moreover, where ever I go I bring my juggling balls, since juggling is one of my greatest passions. Have you ever thought of learning how to juggle? No problem, I can show you:)
Moreover, having had the oportunity to improve my English during a previous workaway experience, I would now like to focus on my French.
Generally, I am a politically and ecologically aware young woman, open to everything (exept intolerance). In my free time, I love going for walks, drawing and playing music. Spending time together I am keen to learn about people and their stories, places and their history. At any time I will be truly happy to make you benefit of what I can share with you.

  • More details about your skills

You might think that I am quite a young girl. Let me tell you that I will appear way more mature to you than you will probably have expected. Having lived on my own for more than three years, I can assure that I am a reasonable person and an independent worker.
Throughout the last years I also made a lot of experiences in different types of work.
First of all I worked on different farms altogether for approximately a year. So I know a quite bit about animal care, gardening and tractor driving (which I love:). As I mentioned before, using a screwdriver, a hammer, a saw that's nothing that poses a problem to me;) Also, the usage of machines like a strimmer and some electric saws aren't unknown (so far no experience with a chainsaw, would live to learn at some point).
Apart from considering myself a decent chef, I also had a part time job doing catering services. That's why I'm used to helping in a (large) kitchen as well as dealing with people's personal habits and needs. This (and of course my time on farms) is also where I learned to independently see any work that has to be done independently, whenever there are no specific instructions for a moment.
Furthermore I have some experiences working with children (with and without disabilities) since I did an internship at a kindergarten, taught some violin lessons as well as I helped children with their homework and organised juggling workshops.
What might also be helpful to know for you: I have some basic sewing skills (cushions:yes, a skirt: yes, a ballgown: definitely no!)
In general I consider myself a motivated and persevering person and a fast learner, always open to do something I've never done before.
