My name is Lieve. When I'm in Belgium I work as an Optician. I like the job because it has a lot of different aspects to it and I get to help people.
At the moment I'm ready to pursue a different passion of mine, witch is travelling. This is also the reason I'm on here. I think working during my travels will provide me with some unique experiences and insight. I also like the idea of staying somewhere for a couple of weeks and learning something new meanwhile being able the help others.
Other things I like are reading, writing, music (exploring and going to live shows), hiking, cycling, swimming, nature, animals. I'm also a member of local circus organisation who provides lessons for both children and adults in different levels. This means I've practiced a couple of different disciplines (acro-porte/yoga being one of my favorites) on a very basic level, but I always take the chance to practice some more or view performances.

For most of my live I worked in sales, first in retail and later as an Optician. This means I'm good with customer service I have a lot of experience finding the right product (or advice) for different kind of people something that is especially important while selling glasses and contact lenses.
As an Optician I can also do eye measurements and make the glasses, this also requires technical insight, handyness and sometimes creativity.
I've also always have been a pet owner. I grew up with dogs and fish, and later owned a cat. Now I'm back with my parents I'm again helping take care of the 3 dogs (one of them is sick and needs some special attention) and the chickens. When I was young I used to ride horses and I remember having to clean and feed them, but this is a skill I'm not comfortable doing by myself.
Some additional things I've done in my life is helping out at festivals, where I did barshifts, helped with the build up and clean up. Being part of a circus organisation I'm also used to being around children and enjoy a lot to play with them. I have some experience with cooking, gardening, IT (word and excel), bicycle reaper (basic).
