  • Description

We live in Victoria, BC Canada. We moved here in 2020, after taking a year off and travelling the world by bicycle. During that year of travel, we stayed with Workaway hosts in 4 countries. Once we got home to Vancouver (where we were living), we switched over to being Workaway hosts and have had over 20 guests from a variety of countries over the last few years, both at our old house in Vancouver and now in Victoria.

But we miss going on adventures and learning about new places, and meeting new people! So we are looking for some local workaway experiences in communities within BC.

We are a mature couple (over 40) and have extensive experience with organic vegetable, fruit trees, and perennial plant gardening, and backyard chickens. We are both hard-workers, enjoy growing things and getting our hands in the soil. In addition, Paul has been doing home renovations over the past 3 years, and is very handy with repairs and construction, including basic plumbing and electrical work. He ran a bicycle shop for close to 30 years, and so he is a fantastic bike mechanic. Keltie is a very confident vegetarian cook, master gardener, and drawing on her work as a planner, can help with visioning, goal setting, strategic planning, etc.

We have a 3 year old Australian shepherd x Border Collie dog named Domino who is a very fun-loving, active, and obedient doggo. He gets along with pretty much every dog (he's fairly submissive), and quickly becomes fond of the people in his home. He can be a little "woofy" with very young kids. He enjoys running in forests, collecting sticks, and playing with toys.
