I am a 28 year old medical student looking for opportunities to help others while also learning how to live a more sustainable and simple lifestyle. Human well being and living healthy lifestyles are core elements that matter to me, which is why I chose to work in healthcare. However, my interests are vast, and I am curious about learning different skills and learning from others from different cultures. I have also worked in kitchens to cook/bake and in schools to teach/tutor.

I am American (from California) and I come from a diverse background (Brazilian, Japanese, Iranian) and this is makes me very interested in cultural exchange and learning about other cultures. I speak English and Portuguese fluently, and some Spanish. I have previous experience in teaching, taking care of children, taking care of animals, cooking, and baking. Before working in healthcare, I was a sourdough bread baker for a few years, and baking bread continues to be a passion of mine.

I am very open minded and looking for ways to live a more simple lifestyle. I love nature and have always wanted to garden but have never had the space. I love to read, bike, go on walks, and cook. I also really like kids! I am honest, quiet, respectful, and flexible when it comes to taking on tasks and helping out. I love to learn and see any opportunity I have to interact with someone or to take on a task as a chance to learn. I love spending time with others, but I also enjoy being alone so I don't mind when hosts are busy with their own obligations.

I have traveled many places in the world (Cameroon, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Costa Rica...) and I have lived in many places as well. What I've found throughout the years of my travel is that beauty is everywhere and each place in the world is unique and special in its own way, but what makes travel meaningful is connecting with others and learning about the cultures by being immersed in them. I hope I can share my experiences with you and that I can learn from you too :)

I really love to cook and learn how to cook meals made by others in their homes. One of my favorite parts about traveling is learning about food in other cultures! I love fresh and local food :)
