My next destination:
Sicily, Italy - from Mar 2022 until Oct 2022 View allDescription
I'm Judith. I am a friendly, outgoing and reliable person. I can work hard and I like to get things done. However - and of course - I enjoy life, I love eating good food and I appreciate a glas of wine from time to time.
After finishing university, I figured, I don't want to follow the road of finding a nine to five job and do it the way most people do it after graduation.
To get to know other people, their attitudes, lifestyles, values and perspectives is something, I am really interested in. For this reason, I love to explore new places and meet new people.
Different mentalities inspire me. I think, spending a longer period of time in another country enriches everybody’s life in many respects.
Sicily is where my heart is and it's the place where I continuously keep coming back to. I'd like to find a way to stay there permanently.
I have done workaway before in Canada, Tuscany and Sicily. I would love to find a place in Sicily where I can meet people that I can learn from and who maybe have a similar mindset.
I am not focused on a particular kind of work but rather, I'm eager to learn something new.Interests

More details about your skills
Even though I was on the 'academic path' for quite some years, I'm a lot more interested in physical work, like agriculture, food related stuff, gardening and spending time outside or in nature in general.
- My family has a big garden and I did various works there.
- I continuously keep coming back to a farm and B&B in the southeast of Sicily and I did almost any kind of work that needed to be done there.
- I spent a month in a small village on Vancouver Island and did different jobs there.
- I worked in the kitchen and as a housekeeper in a hotel in Canada for 3 months.
- I went to Italy for an internship at a guesthouse and farm. There I was gardening, cooking, waitressing, did room service etc.
- For a couple of weeks I worked at a farm near my parents place. I helped to milk the cows, helped to corral the willows, cleaning the stables and worked in the farm shop.Languages

It's been one of the most pleasant experience we had so far here in the last 10 years. As you said is not take for granted to meet someone with the right combination of understanding and manners together, and develop so quickly such as good vibe.

This is a magic place in many respects. I am very thankful for everything I experienced and learned there.
It's not taken for granted to arrive at a place and to feel like you somehow belong there.
