  • Description

    Hi there😆
I'm Josefine, a bright spirited girl from Denmark!
Currently I'm stuck in Denmark studying Biology at university for now.

At this point I've discovered the world and gotten inspired by cultures, nature and people. At the moment travelling the world is at stand-by but I will continue to keep up to date with communities and contacts for future adventures :)

Workaway and similar concepts outside of this website has opened my eyes to new hobbies and interests such as winemaking, planting and growing vegetables, meditation, DIY projects and more.
As I grew up having animals; horses, dogs and smaller pets around me and find that I'm happy and thriving when I'm in the company of animals, I primarily seek out hosts that can facilitate this as part of the work or hobby.

I love learning language - sometimes it only ends in simple sentences or words- but learning the language is always a part of being in another country.

  • More details about your skills

I do believe I can do almost everything I'm asked to; I'll do my best while wearing my positive attitude.
Through workaway I've gained skills and done jobs such as planting, weeding, pruning olive trees, painting, digging out basements, reviving tiles, cutting and stacking firewood, working in a kitchen, farmwork such as moving cattle on horseback, fence repairing, feeding, general maintenance work, cleaning houses, building and repairing things of wood (chairs, building shelves etc) and more.

I've had horses almost my entire life and competed in high level dressage up until 2017. Can help with natural horsemanship which for me is preferred over competing.

I have been working two seasons (8 months in total) in Oregon's wine business (not through workaway) which gave me some very interesting experience and knowledge of wine, and above all exceptionally great family-/friendships!

I spent months in Australia (mostly workawaying) on a cattle farm in Queensland, at a yoga meditation retreat in the rainforest in Northern Queensland and I had the pleasure of becoming a part of the Katherine Outback Experience team 2019, where I worked with seven horses and 24 dogs and puppies, feeding, walking/exercising and training and prepared for the shows.

My CV contains many kinds of work as I've been working in kitchens, in a grocery store, as a bartender, a certified barista, a housekeeper, primary school substitute teacher, a vet clinic, and carer for disabled kids. Happy to expand my list of can-do things!
