Hello! I'm Joe, from England. I love nature, adventure and exploring. I love to learn about new countries and cultures, and meeting new people to share experiences and learn from them.

Currently I am living in the UK doing a PhD in physics (nuclear fusion). Now planning a spring then summer trip to Europe! :)

I want to learn some new skills and make friends from around the world. I have travelled in South America (Brazil & Argentina) and in Europe (cycled from Leeds to Valencia, hitchhiked from Slovenia to Spain and had many other great trips!). I love sports and am fit and active, I don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy practical hands-on work and also have teaching experience so would be happy to teach you or your kids English, Maths, Science etc. I am physically fit and am not at all a fussy worker! I have skills in woodwork, mechanical knowledge, plastering/painting/decorating, bicycle mechanics, a little of car mechanics and am proficient with most power tools! Most of all I love to learn new skills from anyone and everyone.

- Worked on a pig farm in France (also looked after the chickens, goats, dogs etc.!)

- I spent a month renovating a house in Slovenia, painting, building a shed and learnt how to do a bit of gardening

- Learnt plastering/bricklaying during a workaway in Spain

My dad is a builder so I have learnt many skills from working with him (including roofing, electrics, carpentry etc.)
