My name is Hannah Lindsay, I am 27 year old support worker from Edinburgh in Scotland and I am looking forward to my next workaway experience.

I arrived in New Zealand in early March and can't wait to join hosts on my travels. I am looking to learn as much as possible and try lots of new things.

I'm a friendly easy to talk to person who is more than happy to work in a team or on my own. I'm quick to learn and I am not scared to ask questions if i'm not sure about something.I love to get stuck right into the task in hand and I am always keen to try new things :) if I feel like I am ready to, I am more than happy to take on responsibilities!
I'm currently working as a support worker for young adults with special needs, a job I love!

When I was 11 I started volunteering at a riding for disabled this continued for 6 years, during this time I learnt about horse care and yard maintenance. I also learn how to ride and handle the horses and would assist in riding lessons.

I have lived and volunteered on farms and ranches in Scotland, Ireland and Canada.

I have woked in hotels and B&B helping with house keeping, cooking and helping guests.

Really keen to learn more about joinery and building.

I have worked on ranchs, farms and at riding schools so I am very comfortable around animals big and small!

I have recently bought a house so I have been trying my hand at DIY. I have picked up bits and bobs but would love to learn more.

Never worried about getting my hands dirty 😊

I have been a support worker for 10 years. Working with children and adults of all ages and abilities. I was also a teaching assistant in a primary school which I enjoyed a great deal!

I had the best time at Lesley and Len's. I ended up staying 6 weeks and almost didn't leave! In the morning I would take the dogs for a run up the feild then we all had breakfast together. Had the nicest stay here!
In the morning we would head out and feed the animals then come in and have breakfast together which was nice. I had such a brilliant time at the farm, I learnt more about the proper way to handle young horses, leant lots of practical skills and even tried a bit of pig herding!

I spent 5 months traveling around Canada! And when I got to Isabelle, Jude Becca and Kirk I really didn't want to leave, I spent a month there and that wasn't long enough! O Hanna so full of life and wonderment. So personal and always added to a situation. She was one of the first to volunteer for duties never late to get up and could be counted on to do what had to be done. She cooked and cleaned with never a complaint.
