Description

My name is Thomas, I am a 28 yo man from south of France, near Toulouse.
I used to work in a primary school with children for many years, making art activities (circus, theater, potery, paintings…), but I felt the need of a big change in my life so i decide to quit my job , and start experimenting with woofing and farm working in my region !

About my personality : I am joyful, very energetic, and i love humour ! I can can be really excited by anything, but also often very simple and calm. I sometimes feel like being a very mature child ! I have many passions, the first one is of course music, as i am musician since i am young. I play the guitar, the bass, the piano (not like a pro, but enough to make music and create happiness haha) I also make electronic music (ambient, experimental, deep techno, goa psytrance, disco...).I have an association/label crew in Toulouse, and we often organise funny parties ! I also sometimes work in festivals as sound engineer with a friend’s soundsystem company.

I love Nature, walking in wild areas, climbing mountains, or juste swimming in a river.
I love sport, any sport in team, or in nature, as bike, kayak or surf!!
I also studied agronomy, and love the idea of food self sufficiency, and of course, i love cooking, sometimes experimental, vegetarian, or traditional from France or anywhere else, as i love quite everything edible haha

Today i live in an old family house that was abandoned, and that i fully renovated by myself. The project took me one full year in same time with my job. Most of the renovation was made by myself, in a autodidact way, and with the help of some friends that are now my house mates. One thing i really love is to learn new techniques by my own and even more by someone who can teach me ! I am very grateful for that!

I have a nice little garden, and i started to create a nice productive vegetable garden (tomatoes, chilli, eggplant, potatoes, melons, water melons, cucumbers, oignons, garlic, zucchinis, beans, stramberries, pumpkin, salads… I planted many fruit trees, and learned to make my own cheese, sour dough bread and canned food ( sauces, meats, vegetables, marmelades, syrups…). Cultivating my garden, having various and free and healthy products every day gives me a lot of energy ! I also have 4 bee hives, and i produce my own honey !

I just worked for almost 2 years in an organic Farm, where i learned everything about holding a farm, caring animals, create fences, making honey, cheese, repairing tools, drive tractor, renovate buildings... So i have some very useful skills bring some help !

The recent changes in my life proved myself the deep need i had to change even more my life, to live in community, to move toward a better food self-sufficiency, to share my energy with people i love, to meet new persons on the same vibe.
It also showed me that i want to learn more about eco construction, growing food, and living together.
For many years now, I have the project to create a collective eco-project of a place where coopération et self sufficiency are the heart!


I want to experiment something new, discover, learn, meet, explore... !
I am really motivated to bring my little experience, my energy, my joy, maybe my ideas in new project, or help more mature projects and learn from them ! I also think it is a great way to start my adventure in Australia !
