You can just call me Divy!

I came onto this platform just after I finished high school two years ago. Back then, I started my first adventures as a Workawayer in Italy, where I renovated an old house in a small village, and later on I continued in Sweden, where I helped out on in a yoga sanctuary and on a farm.

After these and other travels, I decided to study abroad in England. Just recently I finished my first year of university. And now that the summer holidays are here, I decided to travel in England for a few weeks in July and use Workaway again, as I really enjoyed the cultural exchanges with the new people I met!

My dad owns an Indian restaurant back at home, where I have mainly worked as a bartender and waiter. Moreover, I worked as a tutor as well and speak German, English and Punjabi fluently. I have volunteered in a homeless shelter and kindergarten, too.

I love working with animals, be it on a farm or with house pets - during my Workaway in Sweden I was surrounded by cats, sheep and cattle, where I also did some garden work, and sometimes I took care of our family dog back in India.
I learnt in Italy how to scrape and paint walls, whilst using small amounts of cement and plaster, and also rearranged tiles.

Any type of physical labour is fine to me and I am eager to learn new skills you can show me, as I'd say I'm a quick learner. Working both alone or in a team is fine.

As mentioned, I love to talk to other people about their life, culture and experiences. So if you're looking for a great exchange of these topics, I would gladly join you!

However, if you prefer little communication and just want someone to complete the work without having to spend too much time with the workawayers, that's fine to me as well.

In my free time I like to draw and read. Besides that, I enjoy staying active outside, be it running or playing basketball.
