Description
Currently in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
I fell in love with travel after a school trip to Greece in 2008. I know that's cliche but it's true! Since then I've done 2 solo slow travel trips (7 months and 10 months) and some shorter trips between work and school.
The allure of slow travel captivates me, allowing a genuine connection with the places I visit. I find joy in the small moments, whether it's striking up a spontaneous friendship with a fellow traveler in a hostel common area, people watching on a busy street or engaging in a spirited game of charades while haggling over the price of flip flops in a market. These interactions and experiences are what make my journeys memorable. For me, travel is more than just chasing the perfect bucket list photo; it's about immersing myself in the culture, becoming a part of it.
I'm generally an adventurous, go with the flow sort of person who's up for those weird "hey, what if..." ideas. I enjoy getting off the beaten path, exploring the backstreets and am always down for sweet sunrise/sunset missions.
My hobbies are photography, video editing, mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, culture, history, and abandoned exploration. I also recently bought a drone!
I'm excited to continue to grow my creative passions and am wanting to work on creating more cohesive stories when it comes to my photography and video.
I am a remote worker so I would require decent wifi - either at your place or in a town with access to a co-work/good coffee shop! I have 1 meeting every second Friday but mostly just working solo. My hours are quite flexible as long as I get my work done, usually around 20 hours/week, but I can do them anytime so it won't impact work to be done for you.
In my professional life, I handle marketing and social media management for a company with divisions in forestry, recreation, environment, remote sensing, wildfire, and heritage. If any of these areas are a part of or impact your surroundings, I'd love to engage in a knowledge exchange to learn about how you manage, maintain, conserve, and grow natural resources.Interests

What else ...
- I'm a casual drinker. If you didn't allow drinking that won't be a problem.
- I'm not religious but I am absolutely respectful of other religions so if you have a religious household I would have no problem with that and would love to chat about your faith and gain more understanding :)
- I do have an interest in the paranormal having been a paranormal investigator for 5 years! And I love to learn about the history of towns, old buildings, cemeteries, odd local places, etc... so any knowledge on that would be a bonus. My usual first website to check out before a trip is Atlas Obscura if that's any indication.
