Oooooola,
I'm Christine (but please call me Chris, Chrissy, Christinovich, Christino Bambino, Christinian, Chrisleen but NOT Christine). I'm a 30 year old South African creative. Normally I have an Etsy shop and do the occasional wall mural. I LOVE art and culture.

When I was 21 I moved from South Africa to London. This is where I started working as a mediator between people and their financial businesses. It was ok, it paid the bills. This didnt leave me particularly fulfilled. So in 2016 I took a sabbatical and went with the intention to explore this wonderful world. I got as far as Thailand and loved it so much that I didnt leave to continue everything else I had planned. So it was no surprise when I returned to London to resign my job to continue travelling.

One thing I've learnt is that I generally love everywhere. I have staying power. In the 3 or so years I've been travelling, I've found myself living every country I go to. For me this is fantastic. I truly learn about the culture, the people, see everything, eat totally bizarre (but still delicious) food, the list goes on.

Doing this has bought upon so many new opportunities; I've taught English in Vietnam and Slovakia, I've painted in a couple of different countries and I've managed a hostel in Malaysia.

And the best part, in all of these things, I had fun,. Just how I like it to be. I do not like anything I do to feel like an obligation or for it to take any joy away from my day. This is why I prefer to volunteer my time to something I think is worthwhile and that allows me to benefit as much as I can from my travels. With this, I can also use my skills to benefit those who choose to host me.

For anyone that gifts me with a new opportunity, I ask that you dont only use my existing skills, but let me step out of my comfort zone and learn something totally new. I read somewhere that to learn absolutely everything you would have to study for 400 000 years. Now I don't have that much time but I'm determined to squeeze in as much learning as I can in my lifetime.
