¡Hola! Soy Carmen, nací en el sur de España y soy periodista. Mis últimos trabajos han sido en cooperación internacional y como responsable de comunicación en fundaciones benéficas, pero también cuento con experiencia como coordinadora de acciones benéficas, fotógrafa, asistente de marketing online y un poquito como diseñadora gráfica. Puedo ayudarte en todas estas cuestiones y, además, también tengo experiencia trabajando en alojamientos turísticos y cuidando animales.

Lo que realmente le da sentido a mi vida es aprender y precisamente eso es lo que más amo de viajar. Disfruto conocer gente nueva, ayudar a otras personas, ser creativa, estar en la naturaleza y compartir risas y tiempo con esas personas que te recargan de energía.

Cuando trabajo como periodista me centro en reportajes de tipo social. Creo que dar voz a otros debería ser el objetivo principal de todo periodista. También he sido voluntaria durante años en una ONG que ayuda a personas refugiadas y pienso que el mundo sería mucho mejor si cuidásemos más los unos de los otros.

Ya tengo experiencia en Workaway y lo considero una gran oportunidad para el intercambio cultural, conocer gente local y saber cómo es la vida en lugares diferentes. También es una oportunidad muy buena para aprender nuevas habilidades y poner en prácticas las que ya se tienen.

Hi there! I'm Carmen, I was born in the south of Spain and I am a journalist. My last jobs have been in international cooperation projects and as head of communication in non profit foundations, but I also have experience in the area as a photographer, online marketing assistant and a bit as a graphic designer. I can help you with all these tasks and, in addition, I also have experience working in tourist accommodation and taking care of animals.

What really gives meaning to my life is learning and that is precisely what I love most about traveling. I enjoy meeting new people, helping other people, being creative, being in nature and sharing laughter and time with those people who recharge you with energy.

When I work as a journalist I focus on social reporting. I believe that giving a voice to others should be the main goal of every journalist. I have also been a volunteer for years in an NGO that helps refugees and I think that the world would be much better if we cared more for each other.

I already have experience in Workaway and I think it is a great opportunity to get to know local people and know how life is like in different places and in different lifestyles. As well as an opportunity to learn new skills.
