Hello! My name is Carolina, I grew up in Spain and I study mathematics in Heidelberg, Germany. I recently completed a year abroad in Canada and am now looking to travel around the country learning new skills and meeting new people along the way. I love mathematics and science in general, but I also love books, music, art and nature. I love to discuss the most varied topics, and I am always happy to learn something new! Additionally, I love sports, especially outdoors, like hiking, surfing, running, etc. I also really enjoy soccer, which I played for many years. I am looking forward to meeting you!

More details about my language interests
I have always loved languages. I grew up in a bilingual household with Spanish and German, learned English in school, French on a three month exchange and Dutch on another school exchange. I have some basic knowledge of Italian and Portuguese, both learned through native speakers whom I talked to in that language. I am believe learning a language by using it in a daily setting is a great way to do it! I have some experience teaching children, and on a linguistic level I am most familiar with Spanish (grammar, syntax, etc.), followed by English and German. I would live to share what I know of any of my languages with you, and would love to practice them or learn a new one!

I grew up in a small village, so I have always been close to nature, both plants and animals, and I have rudimentary skills in gardening. I like manual work, and would love to learn what you can teach me! Although I have a lot to learn, I am a keen learner and I have fun doing both physical work and being close to animals. I have also been cooking for myself for the last few years, so I can cook basic meals - and I have also practiced my tortilla de patata, a delicious traditional Spanish dish.

In my free time, I am an avid reader and love to talk about books, movies, plays, music, etc. I like to go for walks, or just sit together talking about the most varied topics, and I also love playing board games of any kind. I can teach you a few Spanish ones, and would love to learn new ones! I am very interested in the environment and how we can build a sustainable way of life, so that is a topic I love discussing. In general, I am a very curious person, so you will most probably be able to interest me in just about anything - form plants to history through astronomy and carpentry!
