  Description

  NEED HELP TO STRART AN ECO – ORGANIC-MOUNTAIN PROJECT FROM SCRATCH on the moutains of the wine and Camino de Santiago Paradise of LA RIOJA, SPAIN.
  If you are a DIY person, with interest in bioconstruction, stone building, adobe, respectful animal growing and you like donkeys (we will offer donkey ride one or two times if you like
  )
  Our endeavour is located in the RIOJA mountains not far from the capital LOGROÑO, which is one of the important points in the Camino de Santiago. Also is a city known for its TAPAS BARS of all kinds and for one of the best wines in the world (and pretty affordable too, compared to the same brand in , lets say New York).
  We focus in bioconstruction, using the materials that we have in the land, for the reason of being sustainable and cheap, which is kind of the same. We will be building initially a mixed technique stone, clay , earth walled bam and repairing a section of a bad road in the traditional way like the romans did.
  We cheerish multilingualism, open mindness backed with pure spirit and the true to your nature kind of vision, believe that the human potential can be best developed through natural life in all its forms and try daily to be true to our nature, not fake – polite.
  Beware the project can be maybe quite rural and phisically demanding if you are not used or dont like country life

  Culturally the region has endless richness, but being concrete, , andd depending on your personal interest we will set you to visit some stops in CAMINO DE SANTIAGO if you like with its magnificent churches,and villages.
  The wine world as well, you could visit some of the finest wineyards of all the world where they shedule visits with tastings of the wines, etc.
  Food, well, just about the best quality / price tapas bars are here and red wines are superb.
  Specially in summer many villages celebrate their annual festivities almost every day.Acc
  +About what you could learn, all the above, specially some construction techniques like stone columns, roof making, spanish mentality.

  Mainly the tasks will consist of:
  Construction with different techniques of a small sized bam intended to host donkeysand a mule when finished.
  Classification of stones and work with stones, cut, shape, build stone columns.
  Set some irrigation system with long hoses based on gravity.
  Reparation of a section of a road with old techniques , compactation, material selection, etc.
  If you are not that phisical but wanna enjoy the amazing cultural , ethnographical life of this place where the Castilian (modern Spanish) was born, we will need as well somebody who could take care of the cooking schedule for volunteers , meaning prepairing meals etc.
  Ther are many families in the villages close by, in case you would like to know one by sharing your english with their kids, we could arrange that too.
  Feel free to explain your set or skills, interests and all you can do, there could be a place for those.

  Accommodation

  Accmodation will be in tents on the ranch, about 10 min walk from the village where you have shop, traditional medieval bakery, a normal restaurant and a super fancy one, a huge gable, a cafeteria, etc.
  Life Is very rural in the village and people are extremely friendly and talkative if you wanna free practice conversation, it's very lively and also there's a public summer swimming-pool not far.
  In the village itself, 12 min. Walk, there are a couple of rural hotels real nice, in case you like high standards, what is fine, but you would have to cover that. Probably for the week you could ge a fair price.
  
  We will provide breakfast + Lunch unless you prefer cooking for yourself

  Tansport is super – easy to the city by public bus and takes half an hour
