Our place is a 68 acre (27 hectares) piece of paradise in rural Eastern Ontario, tucked a bit out of the way but just minutes from the villages of Lansdowne and Mallorytown. Our location is almost centered between Toronto and Montreal and not that far from Ottawa. We're also directly linked to the US via the 1000 Island Bridge crossing about 20 minutes away.

We generally DO NOT offer short term hosting - most likely for 3-4 weeks as we find that it takes a week or so to familiarize yourself to the animals, our farm and our ways of doing things. We are looking for happy and FUN participants; reliable, eager, teachable, responsible and hardworking individuals who are able to receive feedback, follow directions and communicate well with others.
Applicants can be available to help between the first week of March and through the season which ends in early November. Excellent people skills, initiative, and the physical ability to help daily with hands, wrists and back, and to lift 50 pounds regularly are required.
Workawayers should expect to help outside in all weather conditions including rain, snow and daily summer heat of 90-100 degrees and ideally have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
While previous farming experience is preferred it is not required, however it is essential that candidates are committed to the farming lifestyle and all that it demands... Finding a good match between what our farm can offer and the needs and expectations of a workawayer are incredibly important. Volunteers are essential to the successful operation of the farm each season.
