    Description

I live with my two daughters (10 and 7) in a farmhouse in a very beautiful part of Kent. We have 4 ponies, a dog and some chickens which I would like some help with while I work and take my children to and from school and their various different activities.
It is a quiet and peaceful place (we also live right next to Bedgebury Forest which is 1,400 hectares and which is fantastic for walking, running, riding and mountain biking in). You would be able to spend time in the very beautiful local villages (Goudhurst) and towns (Cranbrook, Tunbridge Wells) and visit the coast (Rye, Hastings). Sometimes (once or twice a week) I would like you to be at home with my two girls for up to two hours while I run errands or visit friends.
Most of all we would like you to enjoy being part of our family during your stay.

In summary, the help I would be looking for is:

    - help with feeding the ponies, chickens and dog each morning
    - taking our dog on walks
    - getting to know my two daughters and supervising/helping them out with activities and looking after them on occasional evenings
    - general help around the house including some basic cooking (I would not ask you to clean, but some help with tidying would be good!)
    - getting to know our family and talking to us all about your cultural background, where you come from and your skills.

I would not ask for more than 4 - 5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week.

We live in a remote place, but with many amazing, beautiful and historic places of interest nearby. If you have a driving licence then I may be able to provide access to a vehicle, otherwise I can drive you to/from the local village where you can use public transport to the local area and London. Alternatively if you have your own transport it would be very helpful.

We can offer you an insight into English, countryside life. You will also gain access to a wonderful, and huge forest (Bedgebury Forest) which is stunning and hosts one of the most fascinating and important collections of conifers in the world. You can work with horses, chickens and our dog. In addition, Kent is full of beautiful and historical places - the local villages (Goudhurst is the closes one), towns (Cranbrook, Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, Hastings, Brighton), castles (Scotney, Bodiam and Hever Castles) and stately homes are all fascinating.

    Help

I am looking for someone to take part in family life while they are here - helping around the house and with our animals (ponies, chickens and a dog), as well as getting to know, and babysitting my children (2 girls of 10 and 7). Any DIY or cooking help would always be welcomed but not essential!

    Accommodation

You would have your own room and bath/shower room in our character-full farmhouse, with basic cooking appliances (kettle, microwave). We would love you to join us for family meals, but you would also be welcome to your own space as and when you want it! We live in a very beautiful and fairly remote place, and the house is not serviced by public transport. If you have a driving licence then I may be able to provide access to a vehicle, otherwise I can drive you to/from the local village where you can use public transport to the local area and London. Alternatively if you have your own transport it would be very helpful.

    What else ...

I would be looking for a maximum of 4 hours of help per day (perhaps a bit more at weekends and less on weekdays) and you would have lots of your own free time. There are busses from the local village (Goudhurst) and trains from Marden station direct to London (50mins) or down to the coast. I would take you to the village (5 minutes away) or you would have use of a bicycle.
