Description
I was born in the North of England and I have been living here in the south of france since february last year 2020 after escaping the london 9/5. My background in growing food was previously mainly book-smart/"intellectually driven", as I started to become aware of how disconnected i felt from the land and my nature. I started to read more about food systems and completed a PDC, still with a strong design focus, rather than really living in communion with the land and practice . i then set out to the jungle in costa rica and ecuador and the highlands of guatemala where i really started to feel at home and in communion with the land, the rhythms, the community. I felt connected. i wanted to bring this back to my life in europe. to escape the city, supermakerts, consumerism. i wanted to practice respect for plants, habitats, the soil, water, air. im in a deep process of learning.

I would like to make the space into a learning environment and more so a space to share together, hold space, deepen relationships with each other and the land. We can co create evenings at the fire pit, and explore any other individual or shared interests, such as yoga, music, dance etc. I don't have anything formal to teach as I am learning myself, but I am open to exploring new things.
Help
The project is in the very early stages of transforming the land into a small permaculture holding. I am learning about and working on on a range of things from germination, composting, water collection, herbalism and medicine making, plant care and natural cycles.

Accommodation
The accommodation is in a cottage at the front of the property, which has four bedrooms. Depending on the , you could share with upto three other people, or you could also be alone. there is a kitchen, bathrooms, washing machine. there is not currently wifi.
What else ...
there is a vast amount to explore. Once a month i go to a sweat lodge in the neighbouring valley, which is run by Marco who practices the Lakota traditions. You are welcome to come. there are nearby fountains which you can bathe. The saturday market in bagneres is a meeting point where all my friends from neighbouring farms sell their produce, and a great place to meet people and discuss. there is a big focus on children in the valley, with a lot of festivals, animations and dances and educational projects taking place to give children a rich space to grow. I am still exploring the mountains and valleys and would be happy to plan hikes together at the weekend.
