We have a 2000 hectare high country farm with 5000 merino sheep and angus beef cattle.
During the summer we operate a 3 day unguided walk on our farm
We enjoy planting trees and grow a lot of our own food.
We have 8 working farm dogs and a pet border collie.
Our farm works keeps us very busy but we enjoy sharing our lives with others who are interested to learn about living in a rural environment.

Helping with Tourists
Workaway would learn about high country farming in NZ , merino sheep, and our wool which is used to make Icebreaker clothing.
Also about living in the country, working in a vegetable garden and our tourism operation.
We are passionate about caring for our special environment and have won The Marlborough Rural Environment Awards and 2016 Marlborough Sheep and Beef Farmer of the Year.
We would like help in our two vegetable and flower gardens (weeding , cutting back etc) and with mowing lawns.
Help also with meal preparation and cleaning if applicable and washing windows
Stacking firewood and collecting pinecones for the fire.
Being part of simple farm jobs would be an option if Workaway was interested
Workaways would either live in the house with us or in a well appointed farm cottage (used also by tourists on the track)
Meals will be provided and eaten with the family at the homestead, but Workaway may be asked to prepare own breakfast. All food will be provided.
Our farm is a one hour drive from Blenheim which has a population of 31000.
Marlborough is a region famous for its sauvignon blanc wine and sunshine.
There is plenty of opportunity for walking or biking on the farm, it is a beautiful peaceful location.
