If you are interested in learning more about bison and sharing this with people, then check us out! We have over 100 bison one hour east of Quebec city. We sell bison meat and other bison products. We are currently looking for help in the boutique, greeting visitors, talking about our operation and the qualities of bison meat and selling our products. But since we are heading in a quieter tourist time then we need help doing whatever around the farm. There's always something to do. We have a lovely dog and several chickens. We provide room and board in our home with private rooms. We have internet access. We live in a very touristic community with many local craftspeople, a local brewery and winery, superb restaurants, next to the St-Lawrence river. Bike trails. A great escape from the city life! Bilingual home. We are looking for honest, good workers who will be asked to do tasks according to their skills.

Workawayers will learn about what is a bison farm from the raising of animals to selling their meat from experienced owners who have lived in many areas of the world. This is a bilingual home so workers can improve their English or French skills. This is a beautiful area so travellers can enjoy the river, the mountains and of course the fall colours.

Weekends are mostly free. Other help could include continuing to care for our garden and the harvesting of it. Weedeating, Preparing firewood for winter. Feeding animals. Herd handling. Many other jobs are possible depending on the skills. There is always something to do on a farm.

Workers will stay in our home in a private room with a double bed. One bathroom with bath and shower. We expect helpers to make their own breakfast and lunch, but food is provided. We have a nice choice of food. Suppers are usually eaten together. If you have cooking skills, don't be shy! Laundry provided. Our children are grown up. Our youngest son comes home from university on the weekend.
Very close to downtown and access to bicycles. We are only one hour from Quebec city or Rivière-du-loup with some bus service or other transportation available.
