Help with painting and construction work on La Palma, Spain

  Description

  We are a family of five and live on the sunny west side of La Palma close to the volcano in the best altitude (about 400 meters above sea level). My husband Peter is a landscape gardener, I am a hiking guide and together we have three great kids. Mango, papayas, avocados, figs, almonds, macadamia nuts, persimmons, passion fruit, oranges, mulberries, apples and pears, among others, grow on the 4000 square meter tropical biofinca. There are also many wooden sculptures to discover here.
  
  This year we will need lots of help renovating an apartment in Santa Cruz. No cooking, no childcare, no gardening for the moment. We can only host really handy DIY helpers at the moment.
  
  Wir sind eine fünfköpfige Familie und wohnen auf der sonnigen Westseite La Palmas, in der Nähe des Vulkans in bester Höhenlage (ca 400 Meter üNN). Mein Mann Peter ist Landschaftsgärtner, ich bin Wanderführerin und gemeinsam haben wir drei tolle Kinder, zwei Mädchen 12 und 6 Jahre und einen Jungen 3 Jahre. Auf der 4000qm großen tropischen Biofinca wachsen neben verschiedenen Palmenarten unter anderem auch Mangos, Papayas, Avocados, Feigen, Mandeln, Macadamianüsse, Kaki, Maracuja, Orangen, Maulbeeren, Äpfel und Birnen. Außerdem gibt es hier zahlreiche Holzskulpturen zu entdecken.
  
  Dieses Jahr brauchen wir ganz viel Hilfe dabei ein altes Appartment in Santa Cruz de La Palma zu renovieren. Mit der Vulkanasche ist viel Feuchtigkeit in die Wohnung gekommen und sie muss grundrennoviert werden. Aus diesem Grund können wir leider derzeit nur handwerklich geschickte Leute aufnehmen, die Lust haben mit anzupacken und mit zu rennovieren. Am Nachmittag kann natürlich auf unserem herrlichen Grundstück oder sonst wo auf der Insel entspannt werden.

  La Palma is a beautiful island with extremely diverse nature, which can best be hiked on foot. The people here are very friendly.
  
  La Palma ist eine wunderschöne Insel mit extrem vielfältiger Natur, die man am besten zu Fuss erwandern kann. Die Menschen hier sind sehr freundlich.

  Help

  Right now we are looking for someone with wall repairing, painting, pluming, tiling and general renovation skills, as we have to redo the whole appartment. For four hours a day we can offer a stay of maximum 2 weeks in a beautiful little guest house with cooking facilities and a beautiful seaview. 15 min. to the beach and 10 min. to the city.
  
  Derzeit suchen wir Maurer, Maler, Klempner, oder sonstige Handwerker oder handwerklich begabte mit Rennovierungserfahrung da wir das gesamte Appartment grundrenovieren müssen. Für vier Stunden Arbeit täglich bieten wir für einen Zeitraum von maximal 2 Wochen ein wunderschönes Gästehaus mit kleiner Küche und herrlicher Sonnenterrasse mit Meerblick. 15 Minuten bis zum Strand und 10 Min. in die nächste Stadt.

  Accommodation

  The cozy guest house is next to our house. The sunsets are spectacular. The apartment has a double bed and bathroom with shower as well as nice kitchen with sea view. The central location of the mountains, the beach and the city can be reached in a few minutes. The bus stop is about 50 meters.
  
  
  
  Das Gemütliche Gästehaus ist neben unserem Haus. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind spektakulär. Das Haus hat ein Doppelbett und Bad mit Dusche und eine Küche mit Meerblick und Vulkanblick. Durch die zentrale Lage sind die Berge, der Strand und die Stadt in wenigen Autominuten zu erreichen. Zur Bushaltestelle sind es etwa 50 Meter.

  You are also welcome to travel in pairs. You will be provided with accommodation and work materials. There ist a kitchen in the apartment so you would be expected to cook yourself. Unfortunately, you have to take care of the flight and arrival yourself. Therefore, as a first step, please see if and when there are affordable flights from you to us. We are open to helping visitors between mai and June this year. We look forward to seeing you. best regards

  Gerne könnt ihr auch zu zweit anreisen. Die Unterkunft und Arbeitsmaterialien bekommt ihr gestellt.Um Verpflegung müsstet ihr euch selbst kümmern. Flug und Anreise müsst ihr leider in Eigenregie übernehmen. Daher schaut bitte als ersten Schritt, ob und wann es überhaupt bezahlbare Flüge von euch zu uns gibt.
