    Description

We are a family of 4 including two children. We live on a farm that 60% percent of the land is not agriculturally productive but supports a diversity of native species. Also we invite/expect volunteers to come to Cork to a farm shop/cafe where they can help to promote our ideas of sustainability and biodiversity by also interacting with customers and improving their English skills. They can also learn how to make good organic, artisan, Rainforest-Alliance-approved coffee. We have been hosting volunteers for twenty three years now continuously when we started with an international group of volunteers who planted a peace forest as an anti-Gulf War statement, organised through a peace effort that have been campaigning on anti-war movements since 1921. Our house is an historical landmark with special focus on environmental awareness, sustainability and intercultural exchange promoting peace and unity amongst all races, creeds and nations.

We have a strong commitment to share these values by opening the farm to the public and serving the people of cork. We are very sorry but due to high demand, we are unable to reply to all emails. We are able to offer payment to volunteers that are suitably qualified to complete certain tasks and fulfill certain roles. Please ask for details if you feel this may apply to you. Colin has a degree in Environmental Science and Sally has a degree in French and German and a higher diploma in Intercultural Teaching.
